THE ROLE
The Fleet Manager in Training will support the National Sales Team through the coordination and monitoring of truckload transportation activities and communicating with carriers throughout the delivery process to ensure efficiency.
ABOUT YOU
Successful Scotlynn Candidates Are:
- Ambitious and driven self-starter
- High levels of organization, written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent computer skills
- The ability to work well independently and collaboratively with a team
- Experience in dispatch and logistics is considered an asset, but not mandatory
Work experience in customer-facing roles from the following industries is welcomed and appreciated: hospitality, administration and/or retail.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED WITH SCOTLYNN
- Handling high telephone call volumes in a courteous, efficient manner
- Working with carriers and drivers to monitor loading, unloading, and the time management of freight transit
- Assist Fleet Managers in communication and updates required to customers
- Performing data entry accurately maintaining up-to-date information in the Transportation Management System and record management system
- Develop long-term relationships with drivers by providing them with excellent customer service
- Proactively identify and solve issues with Fleet Managers
YOUR COMMITMENT
- This is a full-time, permanent role
- Work in office from 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday
- Mandatory weekends on a rotating basis
- Potential need for after-hours
