Driver Consultant

Please note this is an onsite position - eligible candidates must be able to reliably commute to our Corporate Office in Vittoria, ON for this position. 
 
With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring a Driver Consultant at our office in Vittoria, ON. This role is for a detail-oriented, organized individual with previous experience in the transportation industry. This candidate must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

THE ROLE 
The Driver Consultant is responsible for analyzing, communicating, and providing coaching and assistance on settlements and payments for all Scotlynn Drivers. They will track driver activity, provide trends and insights and act as a liaison between drivers and other departments action to improve driver satisfaction and retention. 
 
ABOUT YOU 
Successful Scotlynn Candidates Have: 
  • Greater than 1 year’s work experience in the logistics and transportation industry  
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills  
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills   
  • Ability to build professional and supportive relationships  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation software  
Work experience in customer-facing roles from the following industries is welcomed and appreciated: tech support, customer support, dispatch. 
 
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED WITH SCOTLYNN 
  • Act as a liaison for driver issues with other departments, including Dispatch, Recruiting, Safety, and Service/Shop 
  • Provide drivers with coaching and information on best practices for fuel usage, fuel costing, pay structures, driver insights application, maintenance program and scheduling, workload, and mileage performance 
  • Calculate and communicate driver pay rate based on current fuel cost average and exchange rate 
  • Track fuel mileage, miles, work activity, maintenance program schedule and usage, payment deferrals, and general performance  
  • Ensure data regarding driver retention is up to date in our system, regularly discussing with drivers to determine their satisfaction 
  • Assess driver fit for their current style of work and provide recommendations 
 
YOUR COMMITMENT 
  • This is a full-time, permanent role 
  • Work in office from 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday
