With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring a Farm Technician in our Maintenance department in Vittoria, ON. This role is for organized individuals who are passionate about learning the mechanics trade and developing skills to advance their career.

THE ROLE
Farm Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining farm equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will inspect and service forklifts, John Deer tractors, attachments, harvesters, packing lines, and farming equipment for various crops.
ABOUT YOU
Successful Scotlynn Candidates Have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience on farm machinery incl. welding, hydraulics, forklifts, tractors and tillage attachments
- Experience with Microsoft suite of products
- Own tools required
- Integrity, communication, and passion
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED WITH SCOTLYNN
- Servicing John Deere tractors and attachments
- Diagnostic, service and preventative maintenance of asparagus harvesters, watermelon harvesters and ginseng equipment
- Maintaining and servicing automated packing lines and conveyer belts
- Answering service calls in the fields for broken equipment
YOUR COMMITMENT
- Full Time Permanent
- Work Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm, every other Saturday 7am – 12pm
- On-call during harvest season, including evenings and weekends

Compensation
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
